The warm winds of costa rica welcome another happy to be a transplanted canadian.
Growing up in the selkirt and monashee mountains of british columbia, canada, carole has had a unique connection with nature all her life. Riding her beloved horses, skiing the mountains of her home town throughout her life has given her a serious love of the outdoors. Travel is a must and through out her life carole has traveled! India, Greece, Israel, Mexico and now Costa Rica. Painting since she was a child Carole channeled her artistic abilities into graphic design and interior design.
Carole spent many years running her own graphic design company and through the success of that endeavor she is able to spend this time of her life pursuing her first love, painting.
Running her b&b, quails end in summerland, her love of gardening and building furniture came in real handy.
The colors and textures captured by this artist are inspired by the sunsets, flora and fauna of costa rica. Carole wants us to see what is there in a new way. To not see just something pretty, but to experience the layering of nature that is right before our eyes.
The layering of paint adds a dimension of feeling just as a sunset does here in the tropics. It certainly isn’t one dimensional.
In her own words…..
Up front and personal, that’s how i want people to see my work. What i am attempting to do is to encourage people to look more closely at our surroundings to see the conncectedness between nature, each other and ourselves. We are all searching for the meaning of life-i believe that it can be found in a grain of sand, we just need to look that closely.
