“Born in Costa Rica in 1961, Gretel moved within a few years with her family to the United States until she was almost 20.

Here she met her husband and started a family of three children. Needless to say there wasn’t much time to pursue her artist muse unless it was a few stolen hours in the backyard.

Every time her paintbrush touches the canvas you can be sure the result will be an incredible, completely original piece of art. Her love for art and her skillful hands have helped her create magnificent works.

Inspiration is found in plants, animals, people and nature. Her great vision facilitates her sketching and painting of anything she sees.

With the help of her professor Gilberto Aquino, her painting techniques have grown and now she is able to paint in a wide variety of styles.

Gretel expresses poetry in all her works and dedicates the necessary amount of time needed to make her paintings are perfect.
